Hernâni joins Ferroviária after spell in Croatia
Brazilian side Ferroviária have announced the signing of Portuguese winger Hernâni, who arrives from Croatian club Osijek. The 34-year-old spent the 2024/25 season in Croatia, contributing six goals and four assists, before deciding to continue his career in Brazil’s Série B.
Hernâni will look to build on the strong form he displayed last season as he strengthens Ferroviária’s attacking options for the remainder of the campaign.
Speaking at his presentation, the winger expressed his enthusiasm:

Hernâni’s career journey
Hernâni has built a distinguished career in European and international football. Hernâni began at Atlético Clube de Portugal before moving to Vitória de Guimarães, where he became a key player in the first team.
In 2015, he signed with FC Porto, winning the Primeira Liga in the 2017/18 season. After Porto, Hernâni had successful stints at Levante UD and UD Las Palmas in Spain, Al Wehda in Saudi Arabia, and Rio Ave in Portugal.
In 2024, he joined Al-Najma in Bahrain and later NK Osijek in Croatia, contributing goals and assists while showcasing his versatility and pace. In 2025, Hernâni moved to Brazil to join Ferroviária, aiming to strengthen their attacking lineup in Série B and bring European experience to the squad.
